Best Team Setup for Early to Mid-Game Progression?
#5
Yeah the advice above is pretty solid already!

I’ll just add what worked for me when I was stuck around mid-campaign:

Early on, I had way more success focusing on survivability + consistency instead of trying to force fancy combos. A setup like 1 tank + 1 healer/support + 2 DPS is honestly the safest route until you have a deeper roster.

One thing that helped me a lot was running a debuffer in one of the DPS slots. Even a simple defense reduction or burn/poison stack makes a bigger difference than just stacking raw damage, especially against tanky bosses.

Also +1 to what Jekimoh said about stacking effects like Burning Chant or defense shred passives — those actually scale really well into mid-game if you lean into them.

Biggest mistake I made: spreading upgrades across too many heroes. Once I focused on 4 main units, progress got way smoother.

If you’re hitting a wall, try:

upgrading gear before leveling new heroes
adjusting formation (tank placement matters more than I expected)
swapping in a healer even if fights feel slower

What lineup are you running right now? Sometimes a small tweak can make a huge difference.
