How many crates typically appear in the guild portal for players to collect, and what are the chance they drop portal runes? Thank you.

In guild portal there are runes in the golden crates, always. This is different from solo portal where there may be runes in the blue crates but also possibly veil stones or glyphs. I don't know any number for how many crates typically appear in any event but in portal, you can click on map and get an overview. If you don't like what you see, you can exit the map and try again.
